Self-Assessment

A check-in on how you traded, not just what

A short questionnaire that scores five dimensions — plan, patience, risk, journaling and emotion — and tracks them over time. Self-reflection, not a clinical assessment.

Your score out of 100 with its band, and this week against last across the five dimensions.

The problem

P&L is a lagging indicator of how you traded

A green week can come from a sloppy one, and a red week can be the best trading you have done all month. The number at the bottom of the account does not distinguish between them.

What does distinguish them is behaviour — whether you followed the plan, waited, sized properly, wrote it down, and kept your head. Those are the things that repeat.

They are also the things nobody scores, because scoring them means asking yourself honestly, at a moment when you would rather not.

How it works

Eight questions, five dimensions

1

Take the check-in

The question set varies each time, so you are answering rather than remembering what you said before.

2

Read your score

A 0–100 gauge with its band, and a radar comparing this week with last across plan, patience, risk, journaling and emotion.

3

Watch the trend

Every check-in logs itself. The score trend and history sit underneath, and you can delete any entry or retake it any time.

Inside the check-in

Questions about behaviour, not feelings

Each question maps to one or two of the five dimensions, so a low score points at something specific rather than at you in general.

Your Self-Assessment is never part of a coach share. Neither are your goals. Whatever else you choose to show a mentor, these two stay yours.

One question from a check-in, and the score trend across six of them. The questions change; the five dimensions do not.

Straight answers

What it is, and what it isn't

What it does
  • Scores five dimensions of how you traded, not what you made
  • Varies the questions so you answer rather than recall
  • Keeps a history you can look back on, or delete from
  • Stays private — never visible in a coach share
What it doesn't
  • Diagnose anything. It is self-reflection, not a clinical assessment
  • Share your answers with a coach, ever
  • Score you on profit — a losing week can score well, and often does

Score the process, not the result

Take it once at the end of a week and again at the end of the next. The gap between the two is usually the more interesting number.
